Join us for a free public performance as we partner with Sacred Space Spiritual Center to share stories and join in community!

Where: At Sacred Space Spiritual Center in Downtown Salem.

Sacred Space Spiritual Center is an independent non-denominational new thought metaphysical center.

Playback Theatre is a unique type of non-scripted performance where members of the audience share a true story about themselves, which is then reenacted on the spot.

Together, tellers, players, and audience members create their own community and experience the power of playback theatre!

Our January performance features guest stories from member of the National Federation of the Blind who believe that “Blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.”

Playback’s next performance will be Saturday, November 15, at 7:30 at the Reed Opera House in downtown Salem (Second Floor, in the Cyrus Reed Theatre). Tickets are $10 at the door, or reserve your seats early at Brown Paper Tickets. Free for kids under Age 10!

Salem Playback is teaming up with the Reed for their Third Saturday event,Bohemian Bash 4. Come early to check out an entire variety of Arts Events.
What is Playback? A unique performance event where YOU can share your story on stage, then have it played back to you by our talented company of actors and musicians. Get something off your chest, tell a funny story, or share an embarrassing moment! Don’t feel like talking in front of a crowd? That’s okay, too–just listen and enjoy. Each story is a unique experience that empowers the teller and builds a community among the audience.
